The FCA have advised they have made an announcement on their website regarding a replacement system to GABRIEL.
An integral part of the changes is improving the way they collect the GABRIEL data and they have announced that they have begun work to create a new platform. This will replace the current GABRIEL system.
Work is at an early stage. They want to implement an easy-to-use system that is efficient for firms and can be adapted to their changing needs. The FCA recognise moving to a new platform can initially bring additional tasks for users, and they are looking to work with regulated firms and other key stakeholders during its development.
They are keen to get feedback from firms that use Gabriel. The FCA have asked if firms would complete an online survey. The webpage will help shape future outcomes so please ensure you complete this.
The FCA plan to publish a summary of feedback themes from the survey later this year. We will keep you updated on the progress and their plans for the new system.
